- An ideal club to learn to sail or windsurf and to enjoy your sport. We have a full range of modern boats and boards for use by members, and offer qualified training in a safe and friendly environment. Training is run by volunteers and therefore is free to members. Our principal training sessions are on Thursday evenings from April to September, 6pm to dusk - come along whenever you can, as often as possible. There are also opportunities to get on the water on Saturday mornings (Plain Sailing) and to join the racing fleet when you feel confident enough. - Our racing fleet meets on Saturday afternoons (also Tuesday evenings in the summer). We sail GP14s (2-man, 3-sail boats) and Lasers (single-handers). We sail all year round, and we regularly get 25-30 boats on the water. Class racing is close and competitive. Uniquely amongst racing clubs, boat owners are encouraged to swap with their crews and let them sail the second race each week. This helps them to develop quickly and means that you can get good racing without the need to own your own boat. - Windsurfers find the gently sloping beach an ideal place to learn and the more experienced can come and go as they please to take advantage of the winds when they are at their best! Children are not forgotten and we have a good selection of youth boats, as well as offering free training to over-eights (with their parents). - In our recently-refurbished clubhouse, we have a fully-stocked bar and a galley for the use of our members and we have a good social side to the club. - Come along and give us a try - taster sessions are available every Thursday for £10 - this comes off your membership when you join.'
